An Ear Learning Primer

I recently added a new top-level section to the Capo product website focused entirely on ear learning—a dedicated space for all my future writing on how to get the most out of Capo when learning songs by ear.
One of the first challenges I ran into while working on this content was clarifying exactly what kind of ear learning I’m talking about. The term is pretty overloaded: it could mean formal dictation exercises in a classical music curriculum, or the more informal act of “playing by ear” in a jam session where you’re figuring things out on the fly.
So to kick things off, I’ve written a primer that lays the groundwork for the rest of the series. It introduces the kind of ear learning Capo supports best—and how you can make the most of it in your own practice.
Give it a read, and I hope you find it useful!
