A voice activated recording (tape starts recording when audio input level reaches some threshold, then stops after a few seconds of silence) would be really useful. Especially if you added a second or so of buffer at the beginning so that the beginning of words or phrases wouldn't get cut off like happens in "real" voice activated recorders.

This is probably well beyond the scope of your design parameters, but would make the app extremely appealing.

Love the app. Tapedeck + Kaossilator are a match made in heavy. Combine a wonderfully addictive and playful device like the kaossilator with a smart wickedly frickin easy recorder and presto, a great experience. Just for jamming out quick track recordings tapedeck fits my needs perfectly. I initially wanted to see export to mp3, but i figured out how to get itunes to do that. 4 track recording next. then add sampler trigger keys. Great work, worth the money.

Robert,

You can record up to 15m of audio (which declines down to 5m as you lose a minute a day).

Also, at the same time, there's an internal 'battery' in TapeDeck that degrades slowly. After approximately 2 weeks, the tape will play at half of its real speed (and everything will be going very slowly).

During this time, though, recordings are unaffected by the slowdown, and when you register everything will be back to normal.

What are the limitations of the demo version? I cannot find information on this anywhere.

Thanks!
