9 Exporting Audio
When you export audio, all of Capo’s effects—changes to the song’s playback speed, isolation settings, and pitch modifications—are baked into the audio file that is saved.
Note
Capo can export files using the MPEG-4 AAC audio codec, or uncompressed AIFF or WAV files. Exported AAC files include additional tags for details like playback speed and transposition.
To export the entire song
- Choose File > Export Song… from the main menu
- Select the desired export format at the bottom of the Save panel
- Navigate to the location where you want to save the file
- (Optional) Change the name of the exported audio file
- Press the ‘Save’ button
To export audio within a region
- Right-click on the Region you would like to export
- Select Export Region… from the context menu
- Navigate to the location where you want to save the file
- (Optional) Change the name of the exported audio file
- Press the ‘Save’ button
To export the entire song
- Tap the menu icon at the top-right of your screen
- Choose “Export Song” from the menu
- Set the desired export format, and tap “Export”
- Choose a location to store the audio file
- Tap the “Save” button
To export audio within a region
- Press and hold on the region’s title until a menu appears
- Select “Export Region…”
- Set the desired export format, and tap “Export”
- Choose a location to store the audio file
- Tap the “Save” button
