12 Key Detection
When you create a new project, Capo automatically detects the song’s key and displays it beneath the slider in the key control strip. This information updates automatically when you transpose the song, making it easier to find chords or learn melodies by ear.
Capo’s automatic detection works well most of the time, but it occasionally makes mistakes. The most common error is selecting a relative key–for example, identifying a song in C major as A minor instead. Less frequently, the detection may be further off target.
When this happens, you can manually override Capo’s key detection to ensure accurate information for your practice sessions.
