4  Make Your Purchased Songs Available to Capo

A few years back, Apple added lossless and spatial audio to the Apple Music catalog. If you subscribe to Apple Music, and you purchase a song from iTunes, the Music app will not download the DRM-free copy of your song by default.

Fortunately, this problem is easy to fix.

In the Music app, do the following:

  1. Choose Music > Settings… from the main menu
  2. Select the Playback tab at the top
  3. Check the Enable Lossless Audio checkbox
  4. Change the Download popup to “High Quality (AAC 256 kbps)”
Note

If you’ve already made a song available offline on your Mac, you may have to right-click on the song and choose “Remove Download”, then re-download it before Capo can access it. Contact support if you still have trouble.

Open the Settings app, and do the following:

  1. Scroll down to Apps at the bottom, and tap it
  2. Look for Music in the list, and tap it
  3. Look for the ‘Audio’ group, and tap Audio Quality
  4. Turn on the Lossless Audio switch
  5. Tap on the Downloads item
  6. Choose the High Quality item at the top
  7. If prompted, choose to Replace your lossless downloads

Upon completing these steps, you should now be able to create projects from the music library.

Note

If you still have trouble with a song that you made available offline, you may have to locate the song in the Music app, long-press on it, choose “Remove Download”, and then re-download it before Capo can access it. Contact support if you still have trouble.
