25  Supported Audio Formats

Capo can create Projects by importing audio from any MP3, AIFF, WAV, or M4A audio file that isn’t protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM). Files can have sample rates ranging from 22,050Hz up to 96kHz, and 16- and 24-bit depths in mono or stereo.

Tip

When you purchase songs from iTunes, you get a DRM-free M4A audio file that you can use however you’d like: burn it onto a CD, save it on a USB thumb drive, use it in a home video in iMovie, and (most importantly) load it into Capo for analysis.

Capo will export audio as an AIFF, WAV, or M4A audio file. At this time, MP3 exports are not supported.
